- William (Billy Bob) Johnston married Flora Wild. A year after they married, Billy Bob and Flora moved to the farm, which their son Walter would farm at a later date. Walter and Elmer were born on this farm. William and Flora had four children: Audrey (Mrs Angus McRae) of London, Walter, Elmer and Ford.
Audrey had three children: Dorothy, Kenneth both of Kitchener and Douglas of London.
Walter and his wife Alice Beaver also had three children: Dan of Sarnia, Grace Bonnie and Cheryl all of London. Walter a WW II veteran, farmed and had a trucking business from the farm where his wife still lives.
Elmer and his second wife; Jean (Lovell) Payne, worked in Kitchener until he retired to the third concession of Stanley Township. They had six children: Ron, Judy, Steve, Carol, Kristie (from Elmer's first marriage to Edith Tribe) and Eric (son of Elmer and Jean) now living out of Stanley Township. Elmer was best known in the area as a scrap dealer.
Billy Bob and his family moved to Lot 17 B.R.S. In 1919 where Dan Rathwell now lives. Ford was born here. The family moved to Bayfield in 1932. William Johnston was a blacksmith in Varna at one time.
Ford and his wife Irene Leitch lived on B.R.N. Ford farmed and worked at the Psychiatric Hospital at Goderich until he retired. They had six children: Allan of London, Gary of Edmonton, Rex of Goderich, Larry of Holmesville, Brian of Exeter and Tom at home.
