    • William (Billy Bob) Johnston married Flora Wild. A year after they married, Billy Bob and Flora moved to farm, which their son Walter would farm at a later date. Walter and Elmer were born on this farm. William and Flora had four children: Audrey (Mrs Angus McRae) of London, Walter, Elmer and Ford.
      Audrey has three children: Dorothy, Kenneth both of Kitchener and Douglas of London.

      Walter and his wife Alice Beaver also had three children: Dan of Sarnia, Grace Bonnie and Cheryl all of London. Walter a WW II veteran, farmed and had a trucking business from the farm where his wife still lives.

      Elmer and his wife Jean worked in Kitchener until he retired to the third concession of Stanley Township. They had six children: Ron, Judy, Steve, Carol, Kristie and Eric now living out of Stanley Township. Elmer was best known in the area as a scrap dealer.
      Billy Bob and his family moved to Lot 17 B.R.S. In 1919 where Dan Rathwell now lives. Ford was born here. The family moved to Bayfield in 1932. William Johnston was a blacksmith in Varna at one time.

      Ford and his wife Irene Leitch lived on B.R.N. Ford farmed and worked at the Psychiatric Hospital at Goderich until he retired. They had six children: Allan of London, Gary of Edmonton, Rex of Goderich, Larry of Holmesville, Brian of Exeter and Tom at home.

    • Audrey McRae (nee Johnston) has passed away at Winston Park Retirement Home in Kitchener, ON. on Saturday February 7,2009 in her 97th (should read 96th year, born Sep 13, 1913). Wife of the late Angus McRae, mother of the late Joyce Klinkman and husband Ken Klinkman, Kenneth McRae and wife Elizabeth McRae of Ayr, ON., Douglas McRae and wife Carol McRae of London. Missed by several grand and great grandchildren. A private family service will be held in the spring with interment at the Bayfield Cemetery in Bayfield, ON.
